Dates are subject to change due to wave height, surfing hazards, lightning, or scheduling conflicts. Always check the Website and hotline for updated info.If we cancel l weekend, it's always the following Sunday. Remember our contest dates are posted long before the other organizations.
Day of Contest
The HEAT POSTING SHEETS, posted on the board are subject to change and your heat may go out earlier than you thought. We rarely move heats from one part of the schedule to another, but we DO COMPRESS the schedule when necessary. If we have no shows or spaces left for beach entries that don’t get filled, then heats get eliminated, the schedule gets compressed (shortened) and heats go out earlier than people would expect. The best thing to do is be on the beach or very nearby at all times.

If you enter before the lst contest & prepay for all year $80 - RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP - surf a 2nd division FREE
•Fill out the enclosed Season entry form and attach your $80.00 check .
•Mail your entry to ESA, 1571 3rd Ave., Vero Beach, Fl 32960.

INDIVIDUAL CONTEST FORMS, DEADLINES, AND FEES
Individual contest forms and fees ($20.00 first division/$10.00 each division there after BY MAIL - BEACH ENTRY $20/lst division - $10.00/each addn'l division) are due to the TCST by the Thursday before each contest. If we have to postpone or cancel the contest we will forward to the next contest or refund the entry fee as WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY SURF SHOP. Late entries are accepted on a space available basis only. We do not expand divisions for late entries.
If you are not able to make the contest, call the hotline ASAP so we can forward your contest fee. Not advising us before your heat makes you forfeit your contest fee.

WANT A FREE ENTRY? GOT GOOD GRADES?
If you are not a season entry surfer you can attach an all “A” report card to your entry form and TCST will give you one free contest entry!!! Each report card can only be used once. Remember this can not be used in conjunction with Season Entries.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Please keep us updated with any changes in your status. PHONE, ADDRESS etc.
If joining with the TCFL district, and not online, we forward your information to headquarters after every contest. Headquarters then forwards that info to a business that maintains our data base. From there you then receive a membership packet in the mail, You must go online to activate your own Mag subscription. Your local TCST FL director has no control on the time frame for these procedures. Give it two months. If you haven’t received your package contact headquarters at 1-866-SURFESA and leave them a message.

SO, YOU WANNA BE AN ALLSTAR
In June your TSCT FL directors will be nominating members for the 2008 Allstar team. If you are interested in being an Allstar, first talk to your district director. They will ask you if you have read over the Allstar qualifying link on the main website. Criteria for youth Allstars includes points for your local district season finish, regional’s, the East Coast Scholastic, and Eastern’s, 2007. We don’t want to nominate people who end up turning it down in the end. Competition results, attitude, sportsmanship, and put-back to TCST FL-ESA are also factors that are looked at when recommending Allstars. If so and you are still interested they may nominate you. You will be asked to submit, in writing, a letter, sent to the director via the US mail and make it return certified.

TROPHIES
Trophies are now being recycled after each contest so if you’re not there at the end of the contest to get your trophy, it will be used for the next contest. If you know you’re not going to be around, ask a friend to pick it up for you. If you want to donate your trophy bring it back to one of our contests & we'll recycle it.

VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS NEEDED
Please be aware that all TCST FL volunteers are exactly that-VOLUNTEERS! That includes your district directors. The only paid staff, are the judges. If you are interested in helping with different tasks in the district, setup, tear down, tabulating, let us know.

CONTESTANT CONCERNS
If you have questions or concerns, please be sure to get them answered by the TCST FL director. You might need to wait patiently for an answer, but we’ll work hard to find one.
At times, entry forms for Regional and Eastern’s have a very short time line for return. People miss the date, forget to send in the proper entry fees, think they are entered for something they are not, etc. TCST FL tries very hard to contact people, cover the fees and explain situations. We at times also make mistakes, So we need extra eyes. PLEASE read all entry forms, and the newsletter carefully and be familiar with your district responsibilities.
